Uniquedesignmilano is a Milan based company founded in 2018 by Stefano Romanelli. Growing up between Milan and London, he followed his grandfather’s example: an eternal globetrotter, who spent his life crossing borders, hunting down the most sophisticated objects in the world for his design shop in London. That restlessness, and the eye it trains, became the foundation of what Stefano set out to build. With no previous connections in the eyewear industry, he first launched UDM, a brand that could reflect the spirit of a personal journey: the freedom to ask questions, to make mistakes, to start again, and to challenge how things are usually done.

In 2024, that same journey led to Japan. LUCE is a luxury eyewear brand built around one idea: the frame as a jewel. Designed in Milan, crafted by Japanese artisans, it is a pursuit of excellence where design precision meets some of the most refined manufacturing in the world.

Two brands, one design house. Both built on the belief that the best eyewear doesn’t come from the center of the industry. It comes from people who look at it differently.
