Bruno Munari

Express without speaking, with hands, facial expression and attitudes of the whole person

Then you should know that Italians often combine verbal language with gestures, the language of the hands – and you will say ?? what??- , of the body, and more. To help you understand this, we present the “Supplement to the Italian dictionary”, a valuable collection created by the designer and artist Bruno Munari, in which the different modes of expression are examined through a photo gallery combined with simple descriptions.
The “dictionary” is inspired by a collection of gestures made by Canon Andrea de Jorio, published in 1832 in Naples, then updated and brought back to us today.

So I’d say that after you’ve had your fill of gestures, you’re ready to go. ??
